DiffPad Privacy Policy

DiffPad ("DiffPad") is a macOS application published by DreamyFrog. DiffPad compares two pieces of text locally on your Mac.
This Privacy Policy explains what data DiffPad handles, how that data is used, and what is not collected or shared.

Information DiffPad Handles
DiffPad processes the text you paste into the Original and Modified editors. This text is held in memory only for the duration of the current comparison session. It is not written to disk, not transmitted over the network, and not persisted after you close the app.
Local Storage
DiffPad stores only app preferences locally on your device using UserDefaults. These preferences include:
- Your selected diff view mode (Side-by-Side, Inline, or Unified).
- Your comparison options (such as Ignore Case or Ignore Blank Lines).
DiffPad does not store your comparison text, comparison results, or comparison history.
Network Access
DiffPad does not access the network. The app runs entirely offline. It does not make HTTP requests, does not use WebSockets, and does not include any networking framework.
Analytics, Advertising, and Tracking
DiffPad does not include any analytics SDK, advertising SDK, crash reporting SDK, or tracking mechanism. There is no telemetry of any kind.
Data Sharing
DiffPad does not share any data with DreamyFrog or any third party. There is no data to share because DiffPad does not collect any.
If you contact support by email, we may receive your email address and any information you choose to include in the message. That information is used only to respond to your support request.
App Sandbox
DiffPad runs inside the macOS App Sandbox with no additional entitlements. It cannot access your files, camera, microphone, location, contacts, or any other system resources beyond its own sandboxed container.
Children's Privacy
DiffPad does not collect personal information from anyone, including children. No account or personal information is required to use the app.
Changes to This Policy
DreamyFrog may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If DiffPad changes how it handles user data, this policy will be updated before or at the time the change is released.
